Parenting?

Kent went fishing Friday and the mommy duck of this little duckling got spooked and flew off, the other ducklings went over the rapids, and "Ed" was left all alone. So Kent scooped him up and put him in his shirt pocket not wanting to leave him by himself. Sowhen they got home we made a little bed and put water in a lid for him as he chirped until he fell asleep for the night. We woke up this morning to his chirping and he had just hopped out of his basket and was running around in our room chirping. We made breakfast and played games while this little guy ran around chirping and exploring as we tried to decide if he was hungry.

I found poop on the linoleum and Kent cleaned it up. Then Kent made a bath for him. You should of heard us talking to him and asking him what he needed. Kinda funny.

He liked his bath time and had the cutest face! So it is probably more like having a dog, but there are some similarities to raising a child, right? The crying at night, getting to eat food, exploring, waking us up in the morning, baby talk, messes, and bath time? :)

This afternoon we took him to the nature park and let him go into the water to follow a group of ducks around.
