Kent's Birthday

Fishing and Pie

More of the story later or just go here.

4.17.2011Family Time

Friday my parents, grandpa, and youngest sisters came over our direction for some errands, you might call it. My grandpa and dad came to pick up some cows. Also to purchase some pork on a steal of a deal from Albertsons, and lastly to pick up and purchase a car that Lance had gotten them a deal on as well. My dad and grandpa decided to make it a there and back trip. Arriving at 7 to drop my mom and youngest sisters (Kass and Kenn) to have dinner in Nampa with Kambria, Kent, Owen, and Lance and I.

Turns out Lance and I just took a little nap while our meal came--oh wait, we just happened to blink at the same time. Crazy!

My dad and grandpa continued onto New Plymouth to get the cows and then turned right back around home, getting there at like three in the morning safely.

We had dinner with Kambria, Kent, Owen, my mom, Kassidy, and Kennadee then took the latter three with us to spend the night at our accommodations. Picking Jaeger up at Alan and Tami's on the way.

Kent's birthday was also Saturday so we made our plans that much more festive. We decided to have a fish fry picnic. Kent and Trent (CaraJo's, a friend, husband) headed over to some lake (that I cannot name for you) in Caldwell and started fishing. The rest of us (Kambria, CaraJo, myself, Jaeger, Owen, Kassidy, and Kennadee) went to WalMart to get some food for the picnic. Then we met the boys at the lake and enjoyed the sunshine interspersed with some sprinkling rain. The boys loved Kent's dog Clyde, the dirt, rocks, and being outside.

The guys had alread caught some fish by the time we got there. So Kent fried some up and we had a picnic in the back of the cars and grass. Jaeger surprised me by eating some fish. I have presented it on multiple occasions to him with no success. It was so enjoyable and I hope to do it again.

Lance stopped by for a bit on his bow "errands" dropping of Kent's gift and saying hi. We then loaded up and made pies for Kent's birthday at Kambria's. I got to talk with my mom and the boys played with, I am sure, their new favorite aunts Kassidy and Kennadee.

My mother and I grabbed dinner. The men drug their feet home and showed us their great catch of the day.
We sang to Kent and ate some delicious pie. The coconut was best but Kambria also make banana, and chocolate, all with pie--not graham cracker, crusts.

I left Lance to fend for himself at home but I really enjoyed the time with my family and am grateful for the relationships we have.

A big thanks to Kent for being born and letting us celebrate with him. He is an awesome guy and Kambria's lucky to have him. He definitely brings home the bacon (whether it's bacon or not) and is a great dad. He puts up with me snapping pictures right and left without yelling at me. We love him and can't wait to hopefully share more birthday's with him!
